The Seventh Annual Tom Tom Founders Festival is a week-long celebration of innovators, visionaries, and artists who are shaping small cities. The Festival occurs at dozens of venues throughout downtown Charlottesville.
MIMA (Modern Improvisational Music Appreciation) uses group improvisation in the form of games and other creative processes to generate material for musical composition. Activities use the body and voice as the source of musical sound. Participants will take part in a condensed, 2 hour MIMA session culminating in the creation of an original song. Come meet new friends, write a song, and learn about MIMA's work in Charlottesville and beyond.
