Whether it is a new environmental hazard, tech threat, or health recommendation, it can be hard to know when to trust science in the media. Join us to learn how to decipher fact from fiction! The Science Policy Initiative at UVA is offering this workshop to help non-scientists build skills that can stop the spread of exaggerated or false science reporting through identifying buzzwords that raise red flags and exploring easy ways to check sources.
*Note: Attendees can park in the Scott Stadium parking lot for free after 5pm.
