The Seventh Annual Tom Tom Founders Festival is a week-long celebration of innovators, visionaries, and artists who are shaping small cities. The Festival occurs at dozens of venues throughout downtown Charlottesville.
Attendees will be led through the process of baking two different styles of sprouted bread. The first demo is for a sprouted grain buckwheat and millet sourdough, and then a sprouted grain flour based bread. Finished loaves available for sample. Sidney will explain how to soak and sprout grains and why it is important and demonstrate how to make a batter based sourdough and a flour based bread and what the difference is. Folks will learn how to mill flour, and to make a basic seed mylk.
