The Seventh Annual Tom Tom Founders Festival is a week-long celebration of innovators, visionaries, and artists who are shaping small cities. The Festival occurs at dozens of venues throughout downtown Charlottesville.

This session, Bridging the Urban-Rural Economic Divide, will prompt participants to reexamine and challenge the conventional narrative about the urban-rural divide. The session will offer a state-by-state snapshot of urban and rural differences across key economic measures including broadband access, educational attainment, high-value business growth and prosperity growth, followed by a facilitated discussion about how communities are bridging the divide and in turn spurring local, regional and state economic growth.
