Learn about hacking as it pertains to systems security development in a gamified workshop, featuring a guest lecture followed by a capture-the-flag challenge. Mike Erman, a creative systems and security expert, will give a short talk covering the basics of security/hacking, then give the developers a pre-made environment that they have to “hack” to get ahead in the game. People from Silverchair's Red Team (a security-focused hacking group) will be on hand to give tips and teach tricks.
