Tom Tom Founders Festival 2018

The Seventh Annual Tom Tom Founders Festival is a week-long celebration of innovators, visionaries, and artists who are shaping small cities. The Festival occurs at dozens of venues throughout downtown Charlottesville.

Courtney Whalen is a data scientist at Astraea, Inc., where she is using satellite imagery and machine learning techniques to answer complex global questions. She has been working as a data scientist for 5 years and has experience developing machine learning models across several different industries. She has bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from Elon University and is working on her master’s degree in Analytics from Georgia Tech.
